Comtec raises money for children living in conflict zones at first-ever charity Spring Ball

Taking place on 8th April at Alderson House in Warwick, we held our first-ever Spring Ball in order to raise money for the charity Global Care. Global Care has more than 30 years’ experience of coming alongside some of the poorest, most desperate children in the world, improving access to education, and helping them build a better future.

We welcomed over 100 guests and lined up a fabulous evening of fun, glamour and live music including a champagne reception, charity raffle and auction and a delicious three-course meal. Music with an international flavour was also provided by the Eastern European band Paprika and the motown, funk and soul group The Funkstars.

The event was a huge success and thanks to your generous support we have raised over £4000 for Global Care! We are so pleased to have raised such a large amount at our first-ever charity event. Global Care will be dividing the money raised equally between two of their international projects: their work with Dalit children in Patripul, a slum in Mumbai, India, and their Shack Schools in Lebanon, educating Syrian refugee children living in roadside camps.

To help further promote the important work of Global Care and encourage future donations, our friends at Sanctuary 9 Media have helped us to put together a special video with footage from the Charity Ball. Click here to view our video. See if you can spot yourselves!

Our photographer for the evening, Dave Perry, captured some brilliant photos with everyone looking their very best! You can view all of the photos from the evening at our Facebook page. We’ve also included a few photos of our team below looking sharp in their formal attire!

We would also like to give a special thanks to all of the companies that have supported our event through their generous prize donations and giving their time to help. These include:
