Comtec Translations shortlisted in the Midlands Business Awards

We are delighted to announce that Comtec Translations has been shortlisted for Service Provider of the Year in the Midlands Business Awards after a highly successful year.

Based in Leamington Spa, and with an office in London, we have increased our turnover substantially over the past five years, expanded our range of specialist translation services and have recently created six new jobs following the boom in business.

Last year we acquired two translation companies, Accurate Translations and 1st Transnational, and extended our language services offering to include brand name analysis which ensures that branding is culturally appropriate in different countries.

With the ability to translate and interpret in more than 200 languages, combined with specialist knowledge of a wide variety of disciplines, we have worked hard to build up a reputation for accuracy, reliability, speed and business understanding.

That’s how we are able to support clients from many sectors including legal, medical, pharmaceutical, finance, oil and gas, engineering, automotive, retail and marketing.

Comtec Director, Sophie Howe, said: “To a lot of our clients we’re more than just a translation agency – we’re their translation partner whom they trust to help them grow their business and drive sales in overseas markets.

“We are delighted to have reached the finals of the Midlands Business Awards, which is testament to the professionalism, dedication and attention to detail of our highly-skilled staff.”

Comtec is one of the first translation companies in the UK to hold both the new ISO 9001:2015 quality certification and the ISO 17100:2015 translation standard. It is Cyber Essentials certified, giving clients peace of mind that fundamental defences against cyber-attacks are in place.

Our founder and director Isabella Moore and also our freelance translator Vicki Rushton were both honoured at the recent Association of Translation Companies’ 2016 Language Industry Summit Awards. Isabella received the first-ever Eichner Distinguished Service Award for a lifetime’s contribution to the language industry while Vicki won the Freelance Supplier of the Year category.

The winners of the Midlands Business Awards will be announced at a gala dinner on Friday, February 24th 2017 in the Art Deco splendour of the Leicester Athena.

We are very much looking forward to attending the awards in February!
