The Learning Technologies Awards 2018

learning technologies awards

What a great night it was for some of our clients last week at the Learning Technologies Awards 2018! I’m delighted that so many of you were nominated. Congratulations to you all!

It must have been a very hard job for the judges deciding on who would win the coveted awards. Our winning clients received a mixture of gold, silver and bronze awards and here’s what the judges had to say about them:

Learning Technologies company of the year

Sponge – SILVER

“The judges commented that the company was the most inspirational organisation that they saw.”

Sponge definitely lives up to its strapline – Inspired learning!

Best UK learning platform implementation

Sainsbury’s digital transformation with Kallidus – BRONZE

“The judges were impressed by how Kallidus LMS has enabled staff working hours to be released back into the organisation, enabling Sainsbury’s to focus even more effort on delivering a first-class customer service.”

Learning Designer of the Year

Kath Jackson, Popcorn Learning Media – GOLD

“The judges were impressed by what Kath has achieved so far in her career as a learning designer. Her attention to learner requirements is commendable; she is held in very high regard by her clients and colleagues: and there is evidence of the impact and success of her work. They look forward to seeing where she goes from here.”

Learning developer of the Year

Glyn Chapman, Popcorn Learning Media – GOLD

“The judges felt Glyn’s consummate ability to work with clients came shining through, as did his skill at taking a brief and working with it. He would be a huge asset on any team.”

Best learning translation

There were no awards for ‘best learning translation’ but some of the work the judges reviewed will have been translated and localised for global markets. For us it’s a huge honour to work with leading learning companies like those shortlisted (including GoodPractice and Avado) for the Learning Technologies Awards. It also means that we get to work on some really exciting and innovative training and e-learning projects, supporting learning companies and their clients to deliver global learning and development programmes.
