Comtec are used to handling sensitive information and have implemented a range of policies to ensure the safety of your documents.
Our linguists are also required to sign confidentiality agreements with us when they start working for Comtec. This ensures our linguists keep documents and materials in safe custody, and do not disclose their contents to any third party without express written consent.
Comtec has recently been awarded certification by the Cyber Essentials scheme. Cyber Essentials is a government-led scheme designed to ensure that companies have fundamental technical security policies and practices in place in order to defend against common cyber-attacks. Case Study: Ensuring confidentiality for our clients
Comtec were tasked with providing a market-leading London-based Law firm with round-the- clock language support for a high-profile legal case. Translations of witness statements, court decisions and recorded audio interviews needed to be translated from several languages into English, which involved working with a wide network of translators located around the world. To ensure confidentiality at all times, our account managers signed non-disclosure agreements and linguists were bound by Comtec’s own confidentiality clauses. Documents for translation were delivered by hand to Comtec by company staff. Certified hard copies of the translations were then delivered in person to our client by Comtec staff and digital versions were uploaded to a secure FTP server.
