What is Pronto?

Pronto is Comtec’s self-service customised machine translation tool, designed for businesses that require fast, secure, and cost-effective multilingual content.

It combines advanced AI with your brand’s tone of voice and terminology, ensuring that your machine-translated content receives a brand-specific round of editing as standard, called Pronto Auto Edit, with no extra charge.

If your content requires a bit of extra attention, you can submit it for optional human review via Pronto Pro Edit.

Who is Pronto for?

What makes Pronto different from other AI translation tools?

Pronto can be fully customised to your brand. That means:

How does Pronto work?

Using Pronto is quick and easy:

  • Enter the Comtec client portal (for existing clients, use your regular client portal login details; new clients will be issued login and password details upon sign-up).
  • Go to the Pronto area in your dashboard.
  • Upload your files to be translated.
  • Select the source and target languages.
  • Pronto generates an AI translation and automatically applies your brand preferences with Auto Edit.
  • Download your translated files or submit them for optional human review (Pronto Pro Edit) if needed.

You’ll receive an email alert as soon as your translation is ready to download.

What’s the difference between Auto Edit and Pro Edit?

Pronto Auto Edit (included as standard): This AI-enhanced post-editing layer improves fluency, clarity and tone using your brand-specific settings.

Pronto Pro Edit (optional): This adds a second layer of human review by a professional linguist. It’s ideal for content where nuance, sensitivity or accuracy is critical—such as customer comms or legal documents.

Which languages are supported?

Pronto supports more than 30 languages, including all major European, Asian and right-to-left languages. Specific language variants are also available, for example, Brazilian Portuguese or Mexican Spanish. We can add additional languages, depending on your subscription.

Pronto supports all standard editable formats, including:

How fast is it?

Translations are typically ready within minutes, depending on file size. You’ll receive an automated email once your file is complete and available for download.

If you request Pro Edit, a member of the Comtec team will be in touch ASAP to give you a predicted turnaround time and a quote.

Is my content secure?

Yes. We designed Pronto with data security and privacy in mind.
Your content is never shared with public AI models. All processing takes place in a secure, GDPR-compliant environment, and we’ll support any internal compliance requirements you may have.

What support do you provide?

Comtec provides complete onboarding, training and setup support, including:
