For some content, internal review is an important part of the sign-off process. Internal Edit allows your regional teams, product specialists, brand reviewers, compliance contacts or L&D teams to review translations directly inside Pronto, alongside the terminology, style and market rules already built into your setup.

With Internal Edit, they can review and approve translations directly inside Pronto, without email chains, marked-up documents or version-control issues.

Your reviewers can check the translation against your approved terminology and make changes in one structured workflow. Once approved, the final file can be downloaded in its original format, with layout and tags preserved.

Internal Edit is especially useful when you want internal sign-off before content is finalised, but do not need a full Comtec linguist review.

What’s the difference between Pronto’s MTAP service and linguist review?

Pronto’s MTAP (included as standard): This AI-enhanced post-editing layer improves fluency, clarity and tone using your brand-specific settings.

Linguist Review (optional): This adds a second layer of human review by a professional linguist. It’s ideal for content where nuance, sensitivity or accuracy is critical, such as customer comms or legal documents.

What are Auto Edit, Internal Edit and Pro Edit?

Pronto gives you different levels of review depending on the content you are translating.

Auto Edit is included as standard with every Pronto translation. It is Comtec’s linguist-engineered automated post-editing layer, designed to improve the raw machine translation by applying terminology, tone of voice, style rules and market-specific language preferences.

Internal Edit is an optional add-on that allows your own reviewers, such as regional teams, product specialists, brand teams or compliance contacts, to review and approve translations directly inside Pronto.

Pro Edit is an optional human review service. A professional Comtec linguist reviews and refines the Pronto translation when the content needs extra care, such as customer-facing, brand-sensitive, technical or regulated content.

This means you can choose the right level of support for each project, instead of using the same translation process for everything.

When should I use Pro Edit?

Pro Edit is an optional human review service. A professional Comtec linguist reviews and refines the Pronto translation. Pro Edit is best for content where extra reassurance is needed.

This might include:

  • customer-facing content for important markets
  • campaign copy or brand-sensitive language
  • content where tone, nuance or emotional impact matters
  • specialist content, such as legal, financial, medical or technical material
  • languages where you do not have an internal native speaker or reviewer

For lower-risk, structured or internal content, Auto Edit or Internal Edit may be enough. If we think a fully human translation or transcreation route would be better, we’ll tell you.

Which languages are supported?

Pronto supports more than 30 languages, including all major European, Asian and right-to-left languages. Specific language variants are also available, for example, Brazilian Portuguese or Mexican Spanish. We can add additional languages, depending on your subscription.
