Dr Isabella Moore CBE
Director
As the original founder of Comtec back in 1981, Isabella brings a wealth of experience working in the translation industry for over 35 years. Originally qualifying as a Polish interpreter, with Honorary Fellowships from both the Chartered Institute of Linguists and the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, Isabella is a dedicated linguist. But it doesn’t stop there – Isabella was also the first female President of the British Chamber of Commerce, the Vice President of the Euro-Chambers and the CEO of CILT, National Centre for Languages. She was awarded a CBE in the 2004 New Year’s Honours List for services to industry and languages. Isabella’s thirst for learning never ceases to amaze her Comtec colleagues. She completed an MA and now is in the final year of doctoral research at Aston Business School on female entrepreneurship in later life, for which she has recently received a regional Diversity award.
